What is it actually like for those responsible for planning and implementing such a shoot?
The idea of such work often has little to do with reality. It sounds quite nice to hike a bit and take pictures. Unfortunately, the whole thing is not that simple.
In the preparation to the event, we started looking for volunteers who would like to take part in such a shooting and who would be willing to spend a day doing it.
After we found some motivated kids, we had to clarify the following questions: how will the journey be organized, which equipment do we need, who will take care of the parents' consent and how will we carry out the shooting?
After all organizational points were settled, we arrived with three cars, three backpacks with equipment, six kids, a toddler with a stroller and a mom.
A really hot day was in store for us and so we planned in advance the time schedule at the different locations in order to give the children enough breaks and shady places.
So for a total of 9 hours we acted as chauffeurs, escorts, photographers, moms and models all at the same time.
As if that wasn't enough of a challenge, we had to carry, pack, unpack and swap equipment in 35 degree weather. Needless to say, we also had a blast when we finally reached Lake Laudach.
