High above the beautiful town of Gmunden lies Grünberg mountain with approx. 20 kilometres of optimally maintained hiking trails, an idyllic nature reserve, great leisure facilities and cosy mountain restaurants to stop off for a break, all invite to enjoy nature. Grünberg, the exciting mountain in the holiday region Traunsee.

The Grünberg cable car will bring you up to 1,000 metres in comfort in the leisure area at lake Traunsee, from where you can set off an easy and child-friendly hike to Laudachsee or for mountaineer further to the Traunstein mountain.

Both panoramic cabins of the Grünberg cable car offer comfortable seats for 24 people. Those seats can be removed by hand in case of congestion to make room from 45 to 60 people. Besides the guests pushchairs, wheelchairs and paraglider can also be transported by cable car.

Already when going up in the cable car you can enjoy the picturesque views of Gmunden, lake Traunsee and the prominent alpine backdrop of the “Höllengebirge” and “Traunstein” mountain.

On the Grünberg mountain the leisure facilities with the toboggan run „Grünberg-Flitzer“, adventure playground, low ropes course as well as a wide range of hiking trails offers adventure and fun for the whole family. The offer is topped by marked bike and mountain Bike trails, paraglider starting point as well as the mavelous hiking path to Laudachsee.
