Checklist for the rucksack

To ensure that nothing stands in the way of a perfect hiking trip, you need well thought-out hiking equipment. Especially with children, it is important and essential to start a hiking adventure well prepared.

Please think about this in advance:

  • Good footwear: not only hiking boots, but also suitable socks are very important here

  • Your own safety: find out about hiking routes and stay on the marked paths

  • Your mobile phone: please charge it sufficiently and save the emergency numbers (mountain rescue 140, rescue 144)

Checklist for the rucksack

This should definitely be in your hiking rucksack:

  • sufficient fluids and provisions: water or tea is best, as well as a healthy, wholesome snack (you can also pack a biscuit or two for motivation or for difficult situations)

  • Rain cover for changeable weather

  • Small first aid kit (blister plasters, etc.)

  • T-shirt and trousers in reserve (spare clothes are never a bad idea for children)

  • Headgear

  • Sun cream (never hurts at any time of year)

  • Sunglasses if required

  • Pocket knife/torch (you never know)

  • Cash

How do I pack my rucksack?

Pack rain protection and spare clothing at the bottom of your rucksack, you will only need this in an emergency. Make sure your water bottle, snack and sun cream are at the top. You'll need them to hand quickly. Your phone, blister plasters, cash and pocket knife fit in your lid pocket.

Remember that empty packaging material should not be disposed of in nature. Please use the rubbish bins or take the rubbish down into the valley and dispose of it properly there!
