Hiking on Grünberg

The Grünberg cable car takes you up to 1,004 m above sea level to the popular recreation and hiking area in the Traunsee Salzkammergut holiday region. The most beautiful hiking trails in the Salzkammergut await you there - and all just 10 minutes from the beautiful town centre of Gmunden!

The 20 km hiking network with well-developed paths and fantastic viewpoints is well signposted and offers everything from easy routes to more challenging routes for leisure hikers and mountain enthusiasts.

In addition to the magnificent panoramic views of Lake Traunsee and the mountain backdrop of the Traunstein, cycle and mountain bike trails provide a special nature experience.

All hikes can be easily combined with a cable car ride or a boat trip.
