Biking on Grünberg

From a leisurely bike ride with the whole family to a more challenging bike tour, the Grünberg offers everything a mountain biker's heart could desire. And if you prefer something a little more comfortable but still sporty, you can take the Grünberg cable car up the mountain with your bike, enjoy the magnificent view from the panoramic gondola and start your day's biking relaxed on the mountain.

On the Grünberg, marked cycle paths (= forest road) invite you to take leisurely bike rides, e.g. to the lake Laudachsee. To make the ascent easier, cyclists and their bikes can be transported up the Grünberg by cable car.

  • Bicycle ticket (ascent only): € 7.50

NOTE: We ask for your understanding that downhill bikes cannot be transported due to the lack of a downhill track.

Tip: Cycling on the Grünberg with e-bike power

With additional e-bike power and much more momentum, a bike tour on the Grünberg is even more fun! For a little help on the ascent, we recommend taking the mountain railway!

Biking tour to Laudachsee

The cable car takes you comfortably up the mountain with your bike and you can enjoy the panoramic view of Gmunden and Lake Traunsee during the ride.

Once on the mountain, continue on two wheels along the signposted bike path to the lake Laudachsee, which invites you to relax and swim in the pleasant summer temperatures.

There is also plenty to eat and drink at the Laudachsee! Take a break at the Ramsaualm and enjoy regional specialities on the sun terrace before biking back down into the valley.

This leisurely cycle tour is also ideal for a family bike ride.
