Grünberg mountain A green idyllic spot high above Gmunden

High above the beautiful town of Gmunden lies Grünberg mountain with approx. 20 kilometres of optimally maintained hiking trails, an idyllic nature reserve, great leisure facilities and cosy mountain restaurants to stop off for a break, all invite to enjoy nature.

The Grünberg cable car will bring you up to 1,004 metres in comfort in the leisure are at Traunsee, from where you can set off an easy and child-friendly hike to Laudachsee or for mountaineer to the Traunstein.

Already when going up in the cable car you can enjoy the picturesque views of Gmunden, lake Traunsee and the prominent alpine backdrop of the “Höllengebirge” and “Traunstein”.

On the Grünberg mountain the leisure facilities with Grünbergflitzer, adventure playground, low ropes course as well as a wide range of hiking trails offers adventure and fun for the whole family.

The offer is topped of by marked bike trails, paraglider starting point as well as the mavelous hiking path to Laudachsee.

Hiking trip with pushchair

The cable car takes you with your pushchair comfortably and barrier-free on the Grünberg mountain, the family destination No. 1. From the mountain station pushchair-friendly hiking trails (forest road) invites you to a relaxed and easy hike e.g. to Laudachsee.

Transport of the puschair is FREE!
